I recently saw some photos of Montenegro from an Italian co-worker who took a road trip along the coast and it certainly caught my attention! Known to have some of the most rugged terrain in all of Europe with mountains over 7,000 ft plunging into the coastal bay’s, I can see why Montenegro is considered the “Pearl of the Mediterranean”.

  • The Tara River Canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world next to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Its depth reaches 1300 meters (4,300 ft) where the Grand Canyon is just 200 meters deeper (6,093 ft).
